How to use two-step registration

We’ve moved! This knowledge base is no longer updated as of 4th February 2021. Please make sure to use our new training & support centre which includes the most up-to-date knowledge base with new layout, features, guides and support. See our update.

NEW! This article will guide you through the process of approving or declining registrations using the two step registration process.

Please note if you wish to use this process it will need to be activated for you.

Pending

Once a user has registered they will automatically be in a ‘pending’ status, waiting for you to either approve or decline them. This gives you full control over who you allow access to your event.

Approving or declining

To approve or decline users:

  • Login to https://manage.online-event.co

  • Click environments and select your registration

  • Click user approvals on the left hand panel

  • You will see three tabs, pending, approved and denied. Users will be listed under the tab that applies to them

  • In the pending tab will be the users that require your attention. You will see two buttons, one to approve and one to deny. Click the desired button for each pending user

Once you have clicked approve or deny an automated email is triggered immediately to advise the user of the outcome. Please ensure you make the correct selection as whilst you can change the decision, the user will receive conflicting emails.

The registration confirmation, approved and declined emails, will contain standard default copy but all are editable as required. These emails will be set up when the two step registration process is activated for you so you will have the chance to change the text as you wish. You can also adjust these at any time and test them, through the Email Manager folder in your admin area.
