How to manage your resource centre

Instructions

  • in the Update Content section of your admin area open Resource Centres - Documents

  • before you add your documents you need to create folders to organise your content, these will display as Tracks for users to select from in the Resource Centre.

Tracks will not display in the admin area or in the Resource Centre if content is not added to them

  • enter the name of the Folder and click ‘Add Folder’, select ‘Upload’ to choose the file you would like to display. Name it, describe it, select the desired folder from the drop down list and then enter any keywords (tags) that will help to find the document when a user is searching, you can also add descriptive copy for the piece of content you are uploading - and then click the 'GO' button

  • to include a preview image (for the display view version), use the green 'upload' button at the bottom of the window, select the image and then click the 'GO' button to add the file.

You may have the ability to issue an email notification to users when a new piece of content is uploaded by clicking on the paper plane icon next to the document you have just uploaded. The email the user receives is managed in Email Manager.  

Training Room - a resource centre can also be set up as a training room whereby PowerPoint's can be uploaded to it and stored in folders. The PPT can then be displayed (fullscreen if required) and slides can be navigated using the on screen buttons.
